Make a journey with us to the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region, where we meet Mr. and Mrs. Adu, a family that has experienced an incredible transformation through the Gender Model Family concept under the WEACT Project, implemented by Friends of the Nation in partnership with SEND Ghana.
Traditionally, Mr. Adu believed, like many others, that the kitchen and household chores were solely a woman’s responsibility. But through the Gender Model Family training, that mindset changed. Today, he proudly supports his wife; from helping prepare their children for school to sharing household responsibilities, while Mrs. Adu also takes on other roles in the home.
The result? A happier, more united, and peaceful family. 💕
Join us as we hear directly from Mr. Adu about how embracing equality at home has transformed not just his outlook, but also the joy and harmony of his household.
