To provide relevant and timely information that influence public discourse and empowers host communities, FoN organizes a number of sensitization and capacity development programmes. These activities are targeted at host communities, State institutions, Civil Society Organisations, educational institutions, the media and the general public. These are done through workshops, radio and TV discussion programmes, video documentaries, community drama and online radio. Discussions under these activities focus on the legal and regulatory frameworks; the Environmental and Social Impacts of oil & gas on the environment and livelihoods; community concerns, Environmental Impact Assessment procedures and community participation, revenue mobilization and allocation.
