Friends of the Nation has welcomed honourable ministers of the 7th Meeting of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) Ministers in charge of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Accra with a photo and video exhibition of its activities in the fisheries and Agriculture sector over the years.

The meeting which commenced on Tuesday April 5 saw the honourable ministers  welcomed by Ghana’s Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Hon. Hawa Koomson.

Friends of the Nation was present to join other fisheries stakeholders to welcome the ministers and to exhibit it’s works in the area such as landing sites tenure rights through the Voluntary Guidelines on Responsible Governance of Tenure, Citizen science, campaign to save marine mammals among others.

This annual event presents the opportunity for fisheries sector actors within the stated jurisdictions to discuss solutions to problems confronting the sector

The 7th OACPS has the theme “OACPS blue economy agenda 2030: Catalysing the sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Development for the future.
